Jennifer Hudson ‘pregnant with first child’

Has tragic Hollywood star Jennifer Hudson finally had some good news? According to reports, the Oscar-winning Dreamgirls actress is seven months pregnant. Although the 27-year-old’s spokesperson previously poured water over the baby rumours, insiders have told the tabloids Jen threw a baby shower at her home last weekend.
“It was a baby shower, a quiet gathering of friends and mostly family. They're really trying to keep it kind of quiet,” said Felicia Fields, a friend of the star, adding: “It was a nice time that we had.” When asked if the presents at the party were blue or pink, Felicia told the Chicago Tribune: “They don't know [the gender]. More yellow.”
Jennifer is engaged to lawyer-turned-wrestler (yes, lawyer-turned-wrestler) David Otunga, although the pair have not yet revealed when they’re set to tie the knot. If true, the baby joy will finally provide a bit of happy news for the tragic star, whose 57-year-old mother Darnell Hudson Donerson and brother Jason Hudson, 27, were shot dead in the family home last October.
The body of Jennifer’s seven-year-old nephew Julian King was found in an abandoned car three days later. Her brother-in-law William ‘Flex’ Balfour was later charged with three counts of first-degree murder.
Jennifer shot to fame in the 2004 series of American Idol when she was among the finalists. She won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her stellar debut acting performance in the hit movie Dreamgirls in 2006.
